Victoria, BC – Excitement is building in the local baseball community as Layritz Little League prepares to host the 2025 National Little League Championships. This marks the first time in over 30 years that Victoria has been selected as the host city for this prestigious tournament, bringing some of the best young baseball talent from across Canada to the island. With the event on the horizon, the need for financial support has never been greater, and the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation is stepping up to the plate to help.
Hosting the National Little League Championships is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Layritz Little League and the greater Victoria community. The tournament will not only shine a national spotlight on local baseball but will also provide a major economic boost to the region. However, organizing an event of this magnitude comes with significant financial demands, including field upgrades, tournament logistics, accommodations, and various other costs required to ensure a top-tier experience for players and fans alike. Layritz Little League is tasked with raising a daunting $200,000+ in order to host this event.
Recognizing the importance of supporting grassroots baseball, the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation has pledged its support for Layritz Little League’s fundraising efforts. Through the Foundation, the organization aims to provide financial assistance and raise awareness to help Layritz Little League successfully host the championship.

LITTLE LEAGUE SHOWCASE EVENT On July 20th, 2025, the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation are also hosting a Little League Showcase to raise funds for the event as well. Tickets are available online and at the door. The day will feature 3 little league games from local teams and plenty of 50/50 tickets to purchase in support or Layritz Little League. ADMISSION BY DONATION! KIDS 12 and UNDER FREE! Get ready for an exciting triple-header of Little League baseball! Several local teams will showcase their skills on the big field, all in preparation for the Canadian National Little League Championships that will be held this year in Victoria from July 29 to August 7, 2025 .The Victoria HarbourCats Foundation is backing Layritz for this event, and all the proceeds from this fun event will go to supporting that cause. Here is the planned schedule for the day: 11:00 AM - Hampton LL vs. Central Saanich LL 1:00 PM - National LL vs. Lakehill LL 3:00 PM - Layritz LL vs. Beacon Hill LL NOTE: HarbourCats Season Ticket Holders will have this event included in their season package.

The 2025 National Little League Championships are set to be held at Layritz Park, Victoria from July 29th - August 7th, 2025. Round-robin game times will be daily at 11:30am, 2:30pm and 5:30pm. Semi-finals will be held on August 6th and the final game will be held on August 7th.
