In a move set to foster community enrichment and youth development, the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation has struck a significant agreement with the Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club for the 2024 season. The Foundation, dedicated to supporting underprivileged youth, has secured a deal to receive a portion of the proceeds from the club's 50/50 sales throughout the season. These 50/50s will be held both online and at each home game (32 games) and potential playoff games.

This year, in addition to striking the deal, the HarbourCats Foundation will be making these 50/50 draws available for online purchase as well as in person. The expected impact of this could mean that their average 50/50 jackpot may rise by 250%, meaning bigger winnings for both you and the kids impacted by the donations.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in addressing the needs of underprivileged youth in the Victoria community. By channeling resources from the HarbourCats' popular 50/50 draws, the Foundation aims to make a tangible difference in the lives of young individuals who face financial barriers to participating in team sports.

The Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club, known for its commitment to community engagement, recognizes the importance of giving back. Through this partnership, the club demonstrates its dedication to supporting initiatives that promote inclusivity and equal opportunities for all.

The Victoria HarbourCats Foundation, established with the mission of providing financial assistance to disadvantaged youth, is poised to leverage the funds received from the 50/50 sales to empower young individuals who may otherwise be unable to participate in team sports due to financial constraints.

"Our partnership with the Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club represents an exciting opportunity to expand our reach and support more young people in need. Through the generosity of the club, its fans and its supporters, we can break down barriers and create pathways for underprivileged youth to experience the benefits of sports participation. This partnership aligns perfectly with our values of community support and youth development and we're extremely thankful to be included as a part of their family." -- Tyler Boldt, Vice President of the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation

The net proceeds from the 50/50 sales will directly contribute to initiatives aimed at providing financial assistance, including covering registration fees and equipment costs for youth from low-income backgrounds. By enabling access to organized sports, the Foundation seeks to promote physical health, social skills, and overall well-being among underserved youth in Victoria.

Furthermore, this collaboration highlights the potential for sports organizations to serve as catalysts for positive social change. By leveraging their platforms and resources, clubs like the Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club can play a vital role in addressing systemic inequities and creating more inclusive communities.

As the 2024 season unfolds, the partnership between the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation and the Victoria HarbourCats Baseball Club stands as a testament to the power of collaboration in driving meaningful social impact. Together, they are not only shaping the future of youth sports but also transforming lives and building a brighter tomorrow for generations to come.
