The Victoria HarbourCats Foundation addressed an important vacancy in it's Board of Directors: the Vice President.
Effective January 5th, 2024, Tyler Boldt has been appointed to the position. He has been with the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation since July 2023 as a member at large.
Tyler is a Victoria born and raised baseball lover. Since his days of playing college baseball in Minnesota are now over, he spends his summer on the field with the Lambrick Royals of the South Island Baseball League. When he's not at work with the government, you can find him at home with his family or operating his small business. His demonstrated knowledge in law, web development, sports management and leadership make him a valuable asset to the team.
This move is an important one for the Foundation as they look to build on their successes in 2024; they've already been planning 4 events and fundraisers to take place before the end of July. On top of this, Tyler has also launched their new website. When asked about the role, Tyler had this to say:
I am honored to take on the role of Vice President at the Victoria HarbourCats Foundation, and I must express my deep gratitude to Richard Michaels, our president, for his exemplary leadership and unwavering trust in my abilities to contribute to our overall mission. The organization is undergoing a positive transition, and I am confident that, together with our dedicated Executive Board Members, generous community partners, and sponsors – including the Victoria HarbourCats, the City of Victoria, and the Province of British Columbia – we will better our community and empower our local youth through sport.
